This unit can play 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpms and the capacity to convert vinyl records to digital files. Direct recording using a USB is possible. Pitch range is wide at +/- 8, 10, 20 and 50%.
Expert reviews find this model is an almost perfect model. The glitches in the earlier model have been corrected - overheating of the unit. The Numark TT1650 is a great direct-drive turntable for those who like to spin and/or listen to vinyl records. It is a portable-enough turntables for gigging and is quite durable to be set up as a high fidelity sound system.
This Numark turntable is quite precise in its start/stop switch. It has a standard size (7 1/2" x 5 1/4" x H: 51 1/4") to fit a DJ's cockpit making it more ideal as a gigging turntable. The swivel-style tonearm is durable and fitted with a replaceable stylus.
The cartridge that comes with the turntable produces a quality sound but should be dust-free to avoid skips when playing. Its anti-shake adjustments and feedback-resistant silicon base is desirable especially when playing in a DJ booth or table.
